Transamerica Rocked
I finally checked out the American movie Transamerica yesterday and I was very impressed; man, this movie almost made me cry!
In the movie, we’re following Stanley who is only one week away from becoming Bree but then her son pops out of nowhere and she eventually has to face her family who doesn’t approve of her wish to change gender.
The movie takes up gender issues and forbidden love when the gay son gets feelings for his crossdressing father. And the movie is also raw and honest; tales of broken families and alienation are also themes of Transamerica.
If you’re even remotely interested in transgender culture you have to watch this flick now; and if you’re not go get it anyway since this one is simply too good of a drama to miss!
